Interview With Keli Carender, Organizer of the First-ever "Tea Party" Protest
Wow, this is fun! For my 2nd audio interview, I spoke with the Woman who can be argued to be the "Godmother" of the Tea Party movement that emerged in early 2009.
Keli Carender (nom de blogging 'Liberty Belle')
organized the first major anti-government spending rally after the passage of the "American Recovery and Reinvestment Act" (known to some Conservatives as "Porkulus") in February of 2009 in, of all places, downtown Seattle.
I met Keli for the first time in August of 2011 at a Seattle Tea Party Patriots meeting. I've subsequently volunteered to be the Seattle Tea Party Patriots Co-Organizer, so Keli and I are sort of co-workers. I talked with Keli at a local coffeehouse, so there is some real-world background noise. Thanks again to Keli Carender!

I was headed here for this a couple of days ago, but got distracted by the Rain City Bunker podcast with you and Andy. Back for more after I listen to this one.

I like the idea of watch-dogging elected officials and how they vote; accountability! I'm going to follow Keli a bit and see where this leads, including participation at some level.
